From Le Paloumé down to the Spanish Mediteranean coast

Both train and road follow the mountains’ edge round into Spain at Port Bou and then descend to the resorts round the Bai de Rosas. Here too is Cadaques, the famous seaside home of Dali with its wonderful art gallery. Inland is Figueres, also made famous by Dali, where he built his own Muséo, to which people come from all over the World. Further south is the historic city of Gerona and then Barcelona. A new road now connects us directly with Spain making Figueres only 45 minutes away by car, and the lovely lake at Darnius is about 20km. for swimming, sailing and restaurants.
